    Scopes of FOCOMP'99

    The FOCOMP'99 Conference will include the presentation of papers on the application of the modern mathematical and numerical methods, control theory in the investigation of foundry processes, designing and control of these processes in real time.

    During conference a plenary session is assumed.
    E-mail contact is preferred.
    The papers will be revised by Conference Scientific Committee and published in conference proceedings the cost of which will be included in the registration fee.
    Instruction for the preparation of the paper will be sent to authors after receiving the paper title.

    Location and conference venue
    Kraków, former capital of Poland is the old town situated the south of the country. Since the 14th century it has been an university centre. Now, apart from the oldest Polish academy - Jagiellonian University, there are a lot of other academic schools in Kraków. It is also the centre of culture and art. The conference will be held at the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy, the oldest technical university in Kraków, celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.

    CLIMATE / CLOTHING
    In November in Poland the average temperature is 0-100 C (at night temperature can drop down below 0 o C).
    Wind, rain and even snow can be expected.

    DISTANCES

    The conference building (AGH), majority of hotels, city terminal of the airport bus, railway station in Kraków are located in the central area of the city ( 1.5-2 km)
