We are very sorry to report the passing of Dick Schelp on November, 29 2010. While he was already really sick, he came from the States in September and gave a superb lecture for the opening of our conference. He not only was an eminent mathematician, but also an admirable person.

The conference attracted 90 participants from 21 countries. There appeared a Special Issue 312/14 (2012) of Discrete Mathematics containing selected papers presented at the conference, and devoted to Richard Schelp, the first speaker at the conference.

The conference site was the Hotel Tatry. It is located in Zgorzelisko very close to Zakopane in High Tatras.
