Research interests

During his career, he was involved in:

development of  silicon strip detectors with front-end electronics and acquisition system (DELPHI experiment)

development of silicon detectors technology  (collaboration with Institute of Electron Technology in Warsaw)

development of silicon pad detectors and multichip modules (PHOBOS experiment)

development of new types of silicon position sensitive detectors: hybrid pixel detectors with capacitive charge division (collaboration with Insubria University in Como); SOI active pixel detectors (SUCIMA collaboration).

development of acquisition systems based on silicon photomultipliers (RAPSODI collaboration, POIG MNS-DIAG, SuperB collaboration)

Active collaboration

Since middle of 80’s Wojciech Kucewicz has always maintained with international scientific collaboration. This collaboration includes work with DELPHI experiment at CERN, development of new silicon hybrid pixel detector and development of new ideas for silicon active pixel detector using SOI technology for medical application within SUCIMA EU project. Last idea follows an idea of creation System on Chip Circuits where silicon sensor is integrated with readout electronics in the same chip.

Other active collaborations leading to publication are with University Illinois at Chicago, USA and Institute of Electron Technology in Warsaw, Poland. First is connected with developing of silicon detector for PHOBOS experiment and second has followed to creation of new technologies for silicon detector design and production.

Since 2006 he has involved in development of front-end electronics and acquisition systems based on Silicon Photomultipliers.

Apart of development of common research projects the collaboration has also spread on education. He has delivered lectures for students about Integrated Circuits Design and Technology at Insubria University (Italy) and Karlsruhe University (German)

Since years he is superviser of exchange of students within Erasmus project.
