The Second International School on Mechanical Spectroscopy MS-2
will encompass the field of mechanical spectroscopy and its applications to materials
science, physics, the development of new materials, and non-destructive evaluation.
Experts, who will introduce the subjects, summarize the experimental facts and theoretical
developments, and point out applications will give the lectures. International
School on Mechanical Spectroscopy consists of a series of Introductory
Lectures and Lectures on Applications of Mechanical Spectroscopy. The
approach will be multi-disciplinary to allow scientists already working within the field
and others wishing to work in it to obtain an overview of this expanding subject. The
lectures will be given in the sessions, with time allowed for questions and discussion.
The broad scope of the MS-2 will provide fertile ground for new research
in mechanical spectroscopy.
To supplement plenary lectures, contributions (six pages) are invited for 15-minute
oral presentations. PhD students and young research workers are strongly encouraged to
take part in this session. These contributions are going to be published in the
Proceedings of the School.

The International School on Mechanical Spectroscopy will provide an
international forum for the presentation of current research and understanding of various
aspects of the mechanical spectroscopy of solids.
Enrollment is limited to 60 participants.
